bluetooth connection timer

Hi guys.

I have a 51v and am connecting through my cell phone to use email. As i am sure some of you will know, remaining connected indefinitely drains the cell phone battery very quickly. I have set the axim to retrieve email every half hour, but there doesn't appear to be a way to set it to disconnect after receiving.

Am using windows mobile 5, any ideas?

thanks.

Same problem here. I thought there was an option to have it disconnect, but just kidding. My phone enters "dormant mode" when I'm not transferring data. Thats the only idea I've got so far.

Addition who needs that kind of stuff any way huh?

thanks for the reply. I had that idea as well, but on my nokia 6680 there is no option for that. not even a power saving feature for bluetooth :(

There's a new utility called SKScheMa which might do what you want:

thanks for the link. The program looked promising at first and had it worked i wouldn't have minded paying for the full version, but i don't think it will solve.

I tried many different configurations, but the most efficient appeared to be leaving bluetooth on and setting the axim to power on using schema. When the axim powers on, it tries to download email, initiating a connection with my cellphone.

All of this is wonderful, except it is hit or miss whether or not schema will turn the pda on.

thanks again.
