time lag when accessing programs

Hello everyone, I have an Axim x50v. the machine is very slow to react. Whenever I click on a program I sometimes get as musch as a 10 second delay in response. I have removed Activesync as a culprit. Something is clogging my machine. What is it???

Sounds like it might be shuffling memory. Does it do this right after a soft-reset?

I just did a soft reset. Not much time lag here. I've got plenty of memory. I try to "stop all running programs" all the time. How do I stop the memory shuffle?
