I've been usirg my AXim quite a bit but I've been having a .number of problems I would like to keep the aXim but my goal is to make it work for me Im tryirg to use it as a tool to help me in my everiday life. right non it is about as useful as a rock I am not trying to talk trash 'would just like to make it work as a usefuIL tool here is a list of my current problems

networking problems
sometimes the radio will not turn on , othertimes I get notified that the FunK client can't locate a file. And then also some times I'm connected to a network but pocket IE will say I'm not connected altough then it lets me browse will say I'm not connected altough then it lets me browse sites. during this time I cannot use other internet applications such as skype or Agile messenger

Graphics fragmentation artifacts

Quite often I am left with Fragmentation all over the screen lt does not draw over some part of what was previously on the screen

The device is slow from power up

when I turn my X51V on it seems very unresponsive
It seemslife it draws the start menu very slow my contacts runs is also not showg its entries

Out of curiosity ... what programs do you have installed? How much free RAM do you have for running applications?

Have you applied any "tweaks" or fixes?

It's hard to tell what else because the thing is so unresponsive I think maybe I have to hard reset it and loose everything. Foo that sucks. As soon as I turn it on I get notification error cannot execute \Windows\ODClientCE.exe Although I can see the wisbar icon which has the battery and memory status and it appears I have 3 green bars according to WisBar.

Also I bought an extended battery but the damn thing keeps thinking that I have the hatch opened even though it's closed. Does anybody have a way to disable the battery warnings? Maybe through the registry? The popups from the battery also contribute to the overall slowness. I have not applied any fixes yet but am ready to hear which ones I should. I do not know how to hard reset maybe you guys can let me know. Anywho this is a bloody shame I'm going to try to get the device working but if it doesn't work well I guess I'm going to have to chuck it on ebay.

Do a search on the forums for the battery door issue ... someone found a simple tape fix for that.

ODClientCE.exe problem ... remove the shortcut from the startup items folder (windows directory I think)

Slowness ... Wisbar is a good candidate for that problem. Make sure you have the most current version, or better yet uninstall it (temporarily). Wisbar tends to be a bit of a memory hog and can result in some seriously poor performance (especially the older versions).

maybe I dont have wisbar. I got the low footprint battery monitor and memory display recomended by psionandy. Anyways I can try that. I'll get back to this post. hopefully I can get the axim to work for me instead of against me.

If you haven't done the fake server trick, you should do so immediately.

I found that Odyssey Client caused some problems, so I never run it.
