Question System Volume (st00pid n00b question)

OK...so I'm playing around with Skype and with MediaPlayer and trying to figure out how to make the volume louder.

When using MP I can set the volume to 100%, but it's not "loud" by any stretch of the imagination. I looked around through the settings hoping to find a "volume" control panel item, but no such luck.

What am I missing? This thing is too quiet, even when using my BT Headset when trying to call with Skype.

How do I get this thing louder?

Thanks,
Ric

Top right hand side of the screen the icon that looks like a speaker, tap on it and increase the volume.

Right by the clock. Easy to access, but can be hard to find at first.

I was going mad trying to find this. Then I tried switching from true VGA to normal/QVGA mode. And there it was! Changed the volume, switched back to true VGA. Volume icon missing again, but now I know how to find it again.

Also, try downloading JMisurda's X50mix, which he VGA-ized from Emulamer's X50mix. You can crank both bass and treble and see how that cuts through the noise. Also, try playing your media files through TCPMP (link in MyPDA), which gives you access to a preamp which can be really twisted to the max.
