Aww crap. No sound from X51 unless headphones are plugged in....

Was installing and removing different MP3 software such as morplayer and pocket music. Removed them all, but still don't have sound unless headphones/speakers are plugged into the headphone jack. Something wrong? Will a soft reset fix it?

Grrr. Got it to work, but when I stuck my phones back in and pulled them out, still no sound. Guess I'll have to keep playing with it...

I had a similar problem with my headphones not working when I plugged them into my X50v. The internal speaker worked when I unplugged the headphones, but the headphones didn't work when plugged in. I tried reinserting the headphone plug several times hoping it would "unstick" the jack, but that didn't work. I also tried a soft-reset of the device.

I figured that the headphone jack connection was bad so I called Dell for a warranty replacement. The Dell Online Chat suggested that I try doing a hard-reset (which I didn't think was going to work), but it did fix the problem. So, doing a hard-reset may fix the problem.

Just my 2 cents...
