Activesynch on Exchange Server for Newbie

Hi, I'm a real newbie. So new, in fact, I have yet to receive my Axim X51v.

Here's the question. I have a small 3 person law firm. We run an Exchange Server. We all use a public calendar and a public contacts folder. My default contacts and calendar are empty.

How do I get my public calendar stuff onto my Axim and keep it synched? Is this complicated and will I need my tech guy to do it? I've read that Activesynch doesn't support public folders and I may need a third party application, like something from Chapura.

Anyway, sorry if this sounds stupid. I've been reading the site for a couple of hours now and I'm more confused than when I started. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Matt

ActiveSync from Microsoft is designed to sync your personal information from the PC (running Outlook) to your Axim.
You can also use Exchange Server ActiveSync (EAS), which allows you to sync your personal e-mail, calendar and contacts over the Internet. (NB: This option requires a bit of work at the Exchange Server end: Getting OWA to work is typically the first step).

If you want to sync Public Folder information, you will need to investigate some other products: I have heard that http://www.chapura.com/pmp_wm.php does this. How this syncs (through the PC or over the air/Internet), I don't know. And whether there is anything on the Exchange Server end, again: no ideas.

Jordan:
Thank you for the advice. Is it your understanding that Exchange Server ActiveSync (EAS) does not give the option of synching public folders? Also, from your experience is the Chapura product pretty well received among users?
Thanks again.

EAS does not allow Public Folder syncing.
I have no experience on Chapura, but they are one of the better and long-running companies at providing add-on capabilities to PDAs
