AXIM X51v does not shut down automatically: battery everyday empty

My AXIM does not shut off automatically after setting-up that function to shut down after the choosen minutes. Can anybody help me? Kind regards, Willem (NL).

do you keep touching the screen or pressing any buttons? Usually the automated shut off occurs when it is idle for said period of time.

Thank you, in between I found out, that when Skype is running, the automatic shut-off does not work, probably because there is any action on the AXIM, not by me, but by the software.

in the skype version that skype recommends for the x51v it has an option:

Tools -> Options

[ ] Prevent device standby mode when online
