Newish axim, big SD card, crash with BSOD

So I searched for ages for the best PDA on the market and went for the top end Axim x51V. Pretty pleased with it but hadn't really done anything with it for the first 3 months or so.

Decided to buy an SD card (2G viking), put some stuff on it - word files and pdfs to read at work. Then the axim crashed heavily. Initially it was salvagable with a soft reset and/or battery removal. I tried rebooting the ROM (A06) but despite that and several hard resets it would keep returning to the BSOD.

Is this unusual? Is there anything that I should avoid putting on my SD card in the future. It had been previously working without a problem. Any ideas of fixes?

I'm not an expert by any means, but 2 things I've picked just poking around here are, that you must do the activesync fix and to not run any programs from a memory card. That's about the extent of my ability to help at this point. Best of luck.
