I have just ordered my unit and have decided, in an attempt to circumvent many common problems, that I will use all of the cures that have been discussed/recommended on this board (i.e. "Fake Server", A06, etc).

For my benefit and for that of all others who have not yet attempted to apply these cures, would some one respond to this thread with the locations of each? It would be ever so helpful to have all of the information in one place!

fake server is a "sticky" note, on X51V/X50 forum, but so life can be easier, it is here: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=112638
be sure after you do a sync to turn off active sync. start /setttings/system/memory/running programs, highlight active sync and stop it. But do fake server trick and read why to do it.

but, isn't searching for all the cures half the fun? that's how i found them and also discovered many more bits of wisdom to file away for future use.

yep, one other thing is nice. A program that actually stops the programs when you X it. I use InClose Mobile, at: http://insoftwarehouse.com/downloads...se/xe.php?l=en Be sure to pick the WM5 version !!
and lots of others use other things that do it, but whichever you get is a good idea.
