Question Cannot get Ax to work after a hard reset

I am trying to help a friend, no really I am. He just did a hard reset of his axim and cannot get past the calibration of the screen. He just keeps hitting the middle of the X's but the Axim will not move past this "routine". ANY IDEAS, I am afraid he bricked his new axim at my recommendation....and I do not even own an axim yet! (Ordering my axim TODAY!)

Thanks for your help.....could save a friend!

Make sure the lock on the left hand side of the unit is in the OFF (down) position.

I had this exact problem. I fixed it by getting a refurbed one from dell. Call them and tell them your problem, and they sent me a new one overnight DHL.

I am studying MS VB05 right now, so if you can give me any tips or need some help on something I would be glad to help(or try).

You could try another hard reset. I once had to do it twice before I got it to play nicely.

mtgeorge! THANKS! Solved my problem with your post. A simple thing, but I didn't find it in my manual, that's for sure. Your generosity sharing your knowledge & experience is greatly appreciated.
