If anyone cannot change or add the settings, try below method.
1. In this location:
HKeyLocalMechine/software/microsoft/shell
2. Add:
ShowTitleBarClock <- No space inside the words
DWORD Data = 1
Base = Dec
3. Activate the addition:
a/ After above input, wait about 10~20 sec for it to write into the PDA and close the program.
b/ Turn the PDA Full Power OFF, then wait about 10~20 sec.
c/ Turn it on again and it will with the new setting.
** To Full Power OFF, you can change the Power Button inside the Settings. Or, just simply to unplug the battery in Sleep mode.
You can get this with a third party software like ...
Thank you.
I thought there might be registry hack for that also.
I do not want to install app just to add the clock.
Although I admit the app looks nice.
To have the taskbar on top display both the Date and Time, enter this in the registry:
Location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell
Create key: TBOpt
Type: DWORD (decimal)
Value: 1 for Time, 2 for Date, 3 for Time and Date.
This is the same location as the ShowTitleBarClock, so do the same as previously instructed. Requires a soft reset.
Not sure what would happen if you removed ShowTitleBarClock and left in TBOpt ... maybe it'll show Battery Icon *shrug*
Edit: Setting ShowTitleBarClock to 0 and TBOpt to 3 doesn't give the Battery and Tiime/Date on the Today screen. It only shows the Battery on the Today screen, and the Date/Time within programs.
Thanks to this thread I am no longer wondering why the battery meter is shoving my time down into the today page... and mb's battery meter is smoother... seemed like overkill having both on.
Hello,
can somebody help!
The Date section of the Today screen on my x51v displays date and time and takes two lines - it displays the day of the week and the date under it. I would like to display it on one line. If I need to remove time -
it would be fine too. How can I do that? Do I need to change the registry?
Thanks in advance
I didn't want the battery icon at first but then I picked up a clock program, now I'm fine with the battery icon because I have a cool clock on the desk top! :approve:
