I am getting the "won't turn on" issue and WSOD with A12, so I've now changed the schedule to Manually. I'll see if it keeps the settings. I wonder if soft-resets cause the settings to return to default. Much like the power management settings often returned to default after a soft-reset with A06.

Most people not experiencing problems yet with A12 proabably will soon. The problems don't happen right after a hard-reset. It takes days or weeks before the issues caused by AS running in the background start occurring.

I have AS icon registering upon startup but I have checked battery drain and there is little if any. I checked it last evening prior to going to bed with a fresh battery and then checked it this morning and no battery drain. I have not applied the trick as yet but I have not lost a SD or CF card. I upgraded to ROM A12 on 7/3/06 at 7:30pm with no issues to date.

I am having problems with the icons disappearing for games I install to my CF card. Not only does the icon disappear, but sometimes the associated program won't launch and hangs my device, forcing me to reset. Sometimes the reset restores the icon and game, but not always. It's only affecting less than a fourth of the games I installed to the CF. I never had this problem with any of the previous ROMs using the same CF card, which makes me think this ROM's enhancements to the CF interface is causing the problems.

I would tend to agree. Suppose we just need to way up the pros Vs cons for the latest ROM with many reporting significant enhancements. My issues are irritations and I can live with them presently........that may change of course if my battery is draining but I havent given it the oppurtunity yet and I am sure if anyone else had seen it we would know about it by now.

I'm using 4.1 and A12, applied the server trick and reverted to "items as they arrive". But AS is not coming on by itself and CF and SD cards are functioning normally, battery drain is on par with my X50v, looks like a good upgrade..

Only problem I've had, when I close a program with V-Bar the memory doesn't come back until I do a soft reset.

A12 So much better than A06 so far!!

I suffered with battery drain and not being able to start with A06, have now installed A12 and tried the fake server trick but because you delete the exchange server you can't see the scheduling so don't know if it reverts back.
I checked before I deleted the exchange server that the settings remained when I turned it off and on.
I'd really like to know that I can leave my Axim in standby and know it won't be dead the next I start it up.

my AX is unresponsive once its been in sleep mode.

It goes to sleep but I can still see the wifi led flashing. Its then unresponsive and requires a softreset to get back .
