Mad Frozen X51V

No, not temperature-wise. Did the A012 upgrade last week. Reloaded the progs (Handbase, Pocket Breeze, iLauncher, iSilo, Bejewelled 2 - unregistered, iGuidance, Earthcomber, Epocrates, and a few others), and everything I tried worked OK. Yesterday, I had to change batteries or recharge. I took out the 2200mAH, and replaced with a fully charged 1100mAH. On power-up, everything stopped at the WM splash screen, after the Dell screen. Tried this and that including a couple of soft resets, forgot about it. Today I swapped the batteries again, and had the same results.

Short of hard reset, is there anything I could try? Is there anything I should/not do after a hard reset to make sure it doesn't happen again??

Thanks.

A no brainer which has caught us all out is the lock button at the side of the AX.

Me too, but not here. Should add that top bar with connection status, battery and audio does come on, but after that, no joy.

Some times a hard reset is the only way to get rid of a bad issue. Sounds like you are there. Just think of it as another Dell ROM release requiring a total wipe of the OS.
