Aximsitex50icon Slow start-up

My Axim X51 takes a little while to start up when I turn it on. Is there anything I can do to speed this up? I work in healthcare and use it often, but I have to wait after I turn it on. I would like it to be on and ready to use after pressing the power button. Am I asking too much of this machine? Thanks!

Are you talking about soft reset, or when you have it on and turn it off to stand by, and then turn it back on later.

Try this, make sure there arent any today plugins that hog space, and i make sure your rom is up to date. Ive heard of this before, maybe a x51 user will now the answer.

Yeah, I'm talking about when I turn it to standby and then back on. What are "today plug ins" ? Thanks!

I have a X51V and my unit turns on instanly. I use 'Magic Button' a free application to show me all applications that are open and available on my X51V. Prior to shutting my unit down I close all applications. Perhaps you are leaving an application open when shutting your unit off. If thats the case and the data for the application is on an external card it may take a while for that application to load the data required from the last time you used it.
