ever since upgrading to A12 - I find that media player misses the first second or so of any mp3 I'm trying to play. No issues before the upgrade. Anyone else have similar issues???

Before A12 it worked flawlessly.

microsoft has a pretty good mp3>wma converter

Try another program other than WMP, like GSplayer and see how it goes.

p.s. I would have recommended tcpmp but a member just reported it overheating with A12. I'm not on A12 so I wouldn't know.

Personally, I use Mort. Godly qpod skin. http://www.sto-helit.de/modules/wmpd...l_lang=english

I've played with PocketMusic, PocketPlayer -- both of which drain batt a lot faster than Mort, which runs at 208 MHz on my x51v auto cpu. Mort is built on GSPlayer in some way, so they should run similarly for you.
