It seems that my X51v reads and downloads my pop3 mail from the pop3 server and then DELETES it, since the A12 Rom update has been applied.
With the Rom A06 it just left the email at the server to be deleted by my normal pc. Is there a way around?
Someone noticed the problem before in the A12 topic, but no comments yet..
I don't use the poutlook for mail. I have a12 and use flexmail and have set it to leave the emails on the server. so far it has worked. I know people have had issues with flexmail, but I have not had any problems.
I don't know of a way to set poutlook to leave the mail on the server.
It is not an option(maybe a registry key) you cant set it either while setting up the account.
I also cannot find an option for that in Pocket Outlook. As far as I know, Pocket Outlook leaves messages on the server by default. Well at least it does with mine.
Did you set up an e-mail account on your Microsoft Outlook (Desktop)? Is your ActiveSync set-up to sync with your computer's Microsoft Outlook? Because if it does, Microsoft Outlook might be downloading and removing your emails from your server everytime you sync with MS Outlook. There is an option in Microsoft Outlook to leave messages on the server. This is just a scenario and might not be your case. Just trying to help.

I agree with you. There is no settings on my X51V that will allow me to remove emails from my server. It has to be in the PC email settings since there are only two devices in the process.
I dont use Outlook, for email. I have The Bat! an advanced email client, I repeat it does not remove email, the PDA does.
I'll start looking for a registry editor. Or maybe reapply A06 (if possible)
The device tries to automaticaly configure settings while creating an account.
You need to break this operation before it completes, otherwise click back and try again.
For my PDA it's the only way to stop it from deleting pop3 messages.
