Freedom Keyboard Widcomm Stack Problems

Hi all, hope someone can help.

I've just installed the Widcomm (V.5) bluetooth stack and now can't use my Freedom BT Keyboard. All was working well before the stack change.

BT is working fine (I can connect to my phone for example). If I do a search in Widcomm for a BT Keyboard, it can't find one. If however I do a search for anything (ie look for services) it finds the device, recognises as a Keyboard - although doesn't know what type and identifies as an SSD Slave device.

It is not possible to use this to type however.

If I try to connect through the BT Keyboard driver, nothing - again it can't find the keyboard.

I've tried just about every combination of starting BT first then trying to connect, not starting BT (as the keyboard drivers do this automtically).

I have just uninstalled the Widcomm stack and the Keyboard works again immediately. However, I want the functionality of Widcomm!!!!

I'm at a loss... any ideas?

Thanks

My guess it is the keyboard drivers still trying to use the origninal stack. I've just tried uninstalling the keyboard drivers. Then installing the Widcomm stack and reinstalling Widcomm but same problems.

Hmm...... you may need different drivers. Try the WM2003SE drivers? WM2003SE uses Widcomm. Or, the built in widcomm keyboard drivers, if it has any?

Thanks for this. Do you know which devices use WM2003SE.... I'll try using those when installing the Freedom drivers. Widcomm didn't even recognise the keyboard as one, when I clicked on that option in Widcomm it said something like no keyboard detected :realmad:

Thanks, just to finish this off....

I loaded the drivers from Freedom for an old HP using WM2003SE Widcomm and all seems to work fine.

Thanks for the idea :approve:
