When Axim is in cradle, unplug USB to PC. Yes, can be a pain, but will solve problem. Another option is sync via BlueTooth.

No longer seems to work. Frenchy is your schedule set to manual or something other than 5 minutes? and does it actually follow the setting?

The fake server trick will not stop the axim from syncing while it is in the cradle. But there are ways... The simpleist is to get a program called ActiveSync Toggle. It will allow you to enable and disable syncing with the push of a button on the desk top. You can get the program here http://www.micrologics.co.uk/library/ast/

Look up Activesync killer on google for a little utility that shuts AS down until you turn it back on.
