I really need help. Have contacted DELL (useless bunch of ppl) but they could not provide me with any help as the PDA is not registered in my name...yet!
Have had x51v for 10 months and it's worked fine, although haven't used it all that much. Anyway, had some impt files on it and so went to use it today. However, it's not working. I have tried the following:
- pressing green button for several seconds
- soft/hard resetting
- connecting to laptop (but no activity!)
- lock switch is fine
- battery is fully charged
- no other reason for it to stop working
Please, has anyone experienced this before? if so, what did you do? I know Dell will take absolutely forever to get back to me, and their website is as good as useless at this type of thing. I hope the thing will somehow start working again as it's a pretty expensive piece of equipment to have 'die' on you after 10 months!

Just a reminde, if your important file(s) were stored in volitile memory (ram), then the "hard reset" cause them to be erased.
Hopefully, you backed up your Axim prior to the problem or stored your files on SD or CF.
If that's the case, you don't really need the Axim yo be functioning to recover your files (although I'm sure you want the Axim working just as much as you want your data)
Unless the X51 series is completely different to the others, then placing the PDA in the sync cradel while it's connected to a PC should power it up, should it not?
HAve you tried running with the AC adapter plugged in? tried with AC and no main battery? in the cradel with no battery? (I'm thinking you might have a battery problem, but in all honesty, it sounds bricked...)
