X51V VGA Screen Flickering

Hi. I'm a rookie to all the WM5 stuff. I installed Spb Pocket and it flashes on and off on the today screen and my calender constantly flickers. What am I doing wrong gang?

I have a similar problem intermittantly with all applications using the charge / sync cable from Proporata when using a Fujitsu laptop.

The Proporta cable works perfectly on other machines.

As soon as I switch to the dell cable the flickering stops. I imagine that this may be something to do with the USB port not able to supply a charge.

Try ajust the brightness to the same level, both 'on battery' & 'on external' power.

Tried the brightness and no change. I'm sync'ing with the Delldocking station to a MPC Laptop. I'm thinking I got a bad device. I really don't understand the Spb Pocket blinking on and off on the today plugin screen.

Is it ONLY Spb Pocket Plus that has the blinking, or any other screen? If it's any other screen as well, then it is a sign that you are not getting enough power via the laptop. See this thread for details:

Thanks for your help. It's only the Spb that blinks. I'm charging off the docking station. The calender flickers.

I had the issue with the Belkin 3-1 travel kit and like three different computers (even dell ones.) I returned the travel kit.

If Spb blinks and the calendar flickers, then I'd say it's a power issue and not a problem with your Axim itself. If you need to charge, try doing so when it is powered off. Alternatively, you could try a different charger as was suggested, but you do need to be aware of the limitations of your USB ports. You wouldn't want to damage to your laptop.

But, if it's a software problem, do the following:

Start->Settings->Today->Items. Find the Spb and Calendar in the list, and uncheck them. Tap Ok. Then do a soft reset. Download Hibernate from the link in MyPDA, and install it per instructions there. Do another soft reset, and run it right after. Then go back to the Items list, and recheck those two items.
