UK Orange GPRS PAYG Probs

Hi I have just bought an x51v and have been reading this site for the past week getting some great advice. However I have hit a snag. I am trying to connect to GPRS using a CF GSM/GPRS card and an Orange PAYG Sim card (UK). I have searched the web and this site extensively and tried putting in the GPRS settings myself but I am getting errors when it tries to connect. I called Orange and they were very helpful but could not really help me as they did not have the x51v listed on their screen.

Has anyone connected with the x51v/wm5 to Orange PAYG GPRS? I tried following the settings at http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html#orange

Any help would be most apprecieated.

which set of settings?

the search button really is a wonderful thing... far better than making new threads asking the same question ;)

I had allready searched, the other post was because id realised I posted in the wrong forum.

I have used these settings, changing the "orangeinternet" to "payginternet"

Allthough it seems that those settings are for people connecting with a mobile phone. I am using a CF GPRS card.

When I try to right click and connect it says "Cannot connect for unknown reason."

Could I please ask what settings you use with your x51v on Orange payg?

Out of interest, what GPRS card are you using? I've got an Audiovox RTM-8000 and have had issues with it on an x51v (works fine on a x50v), and that was with an Orange PAYG card (though it was a driver issue rather than specific to the SIM). Using a bluetooth to my phone on Vodafone contract works fine however.

As for the phone number, it should be *99#.
