Help:Mapopolis not working every time I take out the SD card and insert it back in

I have a Dell X51V. I installed Mapopolis as my GPS software. It works well with my bluetooth GPS receiver.

Everytime I load up Mapopolis, it will read maps that I load in the SD card. However, if I take the SD card out, then insert it back in, the Mapopolis program won't recognize the map any more. The software will still open but just doesn't have any map.

The only way I could do to make it work is to either reinstall the Mapopolis program or to restore my Axim to the backup before I take out SD card.

Anyone knows why and how to fix it?

I try taking out the SD card after I totally power off the Axim. It doesn't matter. Same problem.

Thanks a lot for any help!

You should not have to reinstall or restore. If you go to the screen that is used to Load Maps you can have Mapopolis REFRESH the map list which it will do by scanning the folders on the device.

Tools|Choose Map(s) --> View|Refresh

Have you tried shutting down Mapopolis completely before you remove/reinsert the card? Just curious.

You probably have not properly quit Mapopolis before removing the SD card. Try quitting from the Mapopolis menu, then removing the SD card, reinsert it, and re-run Mapopolis.
