I got my X51v in April, and have loved it. Upgrading to the A12 Rom (which I did on July 4th) was a PAIN...with everything freezing multiple times. Fortunately when I did a hard reset, IT WORKED...there it was, Rom A12.

At any rate, today my speaker just stopped working. I thought it may be a trouble with the switching in the headphone jack, so I plugged and unplugged headphones, and "wiggled". No dice (no sound!) Well, thought I, I've installed and removed lots of software lately, maybe it's some kind of conflict. So I bit the bullet, and did a hard reset. STILL NO SOUND (through the speaker...it works find on headphones).

So Dell is sending me a replacement X51v. Since I had real trouble upgrading to A12, I asked specifically for a unit with A12 already on it. "We'll do our best, but no promises", I was told. So what I'm wondering is, based upon the experience(s) of folks here, what are my odds of getting A12? Those of you who have gotten replacement units lately, was yours A12?

I just got a replacement unit a week ago and it was a06

I immediately upgraded it to a12 with no problems

I got mine on August, and it was A11...still dont't know if it worths to upgrade do A12.

I've just received my new x51v and it was A12. Unfortunately it has a faulty screen so it's being replaced with a new unit - hopefully also with A12!!

I have received 3 refurb units with A12. However last one (which is being replaced with a NEW unit yet to be received) had a bad A12 flash, I determined. It would freeze (!) intermittently. Re-flashing to A12 fixed it.
