Flickering Screen, battery discharge on USB Cable

Whenever I connect my X51v to my laptop via the USB cable, the screen flickers constantly, and the battery keeps changing between "recharge" and "battery power", and the battery drains during the entire connection. Everything works fine, with exception of my SlovEd dictionary, which causes Device.exe and Sloved.exe errors on soft reboot.

The flickering is an indication that your USB port is not providing enough power to your device. See this thread for more details:

If you need to charge using USB, do so when the device is powered off. That way the power draw would not be as high.

Thank you for the response! I had hoped there was a better solution for the problem, but I can live with charging the PDA on a separate charging system.
