When I first got my Axim, the speaker was working, now aqbout 3 months later it doesn't make a sound at all. The headphone jack works fine, and I have already adjusted the volume and poked around in the control panel with no dice.
My 2 main uses are Skype and GPS, lately I have had to use an earphone in the car to hear the directions from the GPS.

maybe you may want to check the headphone slot to see if something may be jammed inside. Also, if you have any equalizer or sound-add-on programs, like the X50mix, you may want to uninstall that to see if it works.

Otherwise it may be a hardware problem.

I just had the same thing happen tonight after using the headphone jack. It appears to be a common problem with the input jack. Plugging the headphone in and out several time fixed it for me, but who knows for how long...? Good luck!

I had to take apart my axim though.

It should work for x50 x50v x51 x51v etc since the plug is probably pretty generic.

I would prefer to have a picture to refer , can you share ? I have encounter no sound since the day I have but headphone no problem.
