Aximsitebluetoothicon Cannot 'Dial via Bluetooth'

I'm trying to send contacts / tel. numbers to my Moto L7 Slvr using Bluetooth, but when I click and hold on a contact, the drop down menu only lists: 'Send email; Beam contact; Copy contact; Delete contact'. There's no 'Dial via Bluetooth' or '"Send via Bluetooth' which there is supposed to be. Do I have a dud X51 or is this function only available on other models? Any help would be much appreciated.

Try vmobile software BT Dialer, free utility; it may do the trick. Or you could install the Widcomm BT stack which gives more options.

hi.
choose "beam" then "tap to send" when bt icon and phone name appears. (pairing successful and bt "on"+visible both on axim and phone is of course necessary also)

Thanks for your help guys. I'm sure they'd work on a normal X51, but mine seems to be different. I've clicked on Beam contact, but all i get is a secreen saying select a device and only infrared / Align ports. They don't do anything when i click them.

I also tried vmobile's program, but unfortunately kept getting error message so I tried removing them, after which I wasn't able to access the web or mail via my cell phone.

Don't worry, I' m grateful for your help, it's Dell who's at fault - I'm sure they could make all this more straightforward!

If you have any other tips, please pass them on. Thanks.

Both paired fine, visible on both, but now it won't hold the connection. Tried hard set, still same problem. For some reason i don't have Bluetooth Manager on my Axim - is this normal?

Hi. Me neither (no Bluetooth Manager; X51V with upgrade to A12 from A08).
I do like this:

I am using Axim X51V and Nokia 6280 for Internet access. These are my manual BT settings, maybe they can help you?

Start with Nokia:
1: Menu/ Settings/ Connectivity/ BT/ BT= On
2: Menu/ Settings/ Connectivity/ BT/ BT Settings/ My phones visibility= Shown to all

Proceed with Axim:
3: Tap Bluetooth icon
4: Choose tab Mode: Tick boxes for "Turn on Bluetooth" and "Make this device discoverable to other devices".
5: Choose tab Devices: Tap "New Partnership" (Scanning starts) Hopefully the BT-name of your phone will appear. Tap to select, tap "Next". Enter a passkey, tap "Next".

Back to Nokia:
6: Phone will ask:
Pair with (name of Axim) select? Select. Enter the same passkey in phone, push OK. Notification of pairing succed. You can check in: Menu/ Settings/ Connectivity/ BT/ Paired devices, there you should find (Axim name).

When you say "beam contact" it starts by searching IR and THEN it starts a bt search, after 5-10 seconds or so. I have found that i can do this to any bt device even if i have never established a pairing with it before. just wait till it starts up the bt after it searches IR.

Thanks folks, it now makes a connection if I put the phone on "visible", phone asks me if i want to accept the incoming message, i press accept but then says 'file is corrupt'. Any idea how that happened?
