Not sure it this the right forum but here goes.

Just got my new X51. Its my first PDA. I spent a day playing with it and couldn't get
ActiveSynch to work properly. Finally got it to work by turning off my firewall. That's another problem.

Day two. Today. Worked fine after loading up MP3 and video files using WMP. Some of the video files were duplicated but under different file names. Again that's another problem. I have a 2GB SD card installed.

The actual number one problem. My X51 is now locking up. It turns on, I get the Dell screen then the windows home screen then it freezes. I have to take out the battery to turn it off. I've done both a soft and hard reset but that doesn't fix the problem.

Any ideas?

(This is terrible. No wonder the PC platform gets such a hard rap.)

If you did a hard reset and didnt load anything and it still locks up then most likely you have a bad unit and should contact dell for a replacemeny.

Just for a test, try removing your card then restart the Axim, to see if it starts normally, there might be something on your card causing the problem.
If it works ok, reinstall the card, if the problem reoccurs it is something on there causing the problem.

Reinstalling the SD card did it. So far so good then. Thanks for that. Hope its not a recurring problem.

I'll go elsewhere in the forums to handle the other problems, namely ActiveSync. There seems to be plenty of resources for that.
