please help, iLauncher killed my new x51v

Hi all. I just installed the demo of iLauncher. When I performed a soft reset,
i noticed the system was very sluggish as entered the system password (4-digit pin). After entering the pin it just goes to a white screen, with an okay button at the top right corner, which is unresponsive. I did another soft reset, and waited a bit before entering my password, except this time, because I waited for about 1 minute, the system is just frozen at the password screen, and doesn't even allow me to input *that*. I guess it freezes at the time iLauncher is loading into memory? Please help me fix this. I just got the axim 1 night ago.
Thanks.

I would do another soft reset. Hopefully, the system will boot faster. Then I would remove iLauncher. If that doesn't work, then a hard reset may be needed.

I've been using iLauncher with good success.

Good luck.

Thank you for the responses. I soft reset about ten times in a row. Once I read that a hard reset would kill all my programs on the machine (not on a card) I freaked out. Finally, the system allowed me to tap the start button right after entering my password, and as it was struggling to boot, i quickly went into the settings menu and uninstalled iLauncher. Working great now. Thanks all.

[Case Closed]

**edited to Add that I had the program installed on the device, and not a removable card.

Just curious, what other programs do you have installed. I have ilauncher installed with no problems.

iLauncher is one of my favorite apps. The safe mode is a lifesaver. Have you checked the SBSH Forums for iLauncher?

iLauncher is one of my must-have apps on my X51v (as for many others). Did you verify you have the latest version?

I do not believe the problem is with iLauncher, as thousands of Users have it installed, along with myself, and it preforms flawlessly. You should look elsewhere for the problem, because it will show again.

Another iLauncher lover here.

BTW, why was a hard reset such a big deal for you? You said you only had the Axim for 1 night. Doesn't smell right.

No conspiracy here. I simply didn't want to have to reinstall 2 dozen applications I had just done in the last 24 hours. That's all :)[

I'm very happy with iLauncher, never had any problem.

BTW, themaxx, I have both iLauncher and PocketStar (lastest versions) running on x51v without any glitch.

It might help if you listed the programs you have loaded on your Axim (even if it takes a few minutes). This site has some very knowledgeable and helpful members. If you had problems with i-Launcher (which I consider one of my MUST have programs) there is a GOOD chance you are going to have more problems pop up in the future. It could be there is a problem with the combination of programs you have on your Axim....or a WM5 issue. The sooner you find out the happier you will be (and MOST of us have had a problem or two with compatibility issues) :)

Just a thought....

Susan
