I broke my 51v screen... how to replace?
My x51v (3 days old) slipped out of my pocket and under a tire of a moving vehicle. I was on a business stop and on the side of the road... as it slipped out of my pocket and bounced off the road, a car drove by and just clipped the corner of it. Needless to say the screen is shattered. However, the X51v still works awesome... but you can't see anything. I was still able to sync it though it had been hit by a car. Now that's tough.
However, how do I get a screen replaced? The Aximx51v is still awesome and works great.
Thanks

WOW!! got hit by a car, man these axims are solid, if the screens were now made from a bullet proof material, like a clean string, thats super flexable, they would truly be bullet proof. :)

If by chance you bought Complete Care then it will be replaced by Dell if not the link in the other posts will work. Good luck and welcome to Aximsite.

Personally, I would send it back to Dell for a screen replacement. Although you will likely have to pay for it, at least it will be done by the manufacturer, and at times it can be less expensive than taking it to PocketPCTechs.:approve:

I believe all they will do is sell you a refurb unit but I may be wrong.

yup. dell wont do repairs, only replacements. which really means sell you a "new" refurb. unless you bought the Complete Care, then they GIVE you a "new" refurb for free.

Even cheaper & I've been using them for about 4 years, is PDASmart.com; (512) 258-4500. They will do a Free diagnostic test to check out everything plus reasonable prices & excellent service.
