I am using spb pocket plus and pocket mechanic. when I soft reset occasionally the icons of programs located on the sd card won't show up on desktop
and pocket mechanic reports no sd card, although all of the prog's on the card
are working. Does anyone have any ideas. also can you use a sd card and a cf
card at the same time? thanks.

Which Axim ROM do you have installed?

If it is A06 or earlier, you might try upgrading.

yeah, I had that until I went to A12. the only way i got it to put the icons back was to go into the Today page and uncheck one of them that was not working and then check it again. And yes you can use both slots together. I have a 2Gb sd and a 4Gb cf card in mine at all times. You might also try removing and inserting the card and see if it fixes the icons.

thanks it is A12. I got the icons back on the spb desktop,
but can't get mechanic to see the card. at least I am not getting the WSOD too frequently.
I had and loved dearly an axim x30hi, but I dropped it and the
connector on the bottom broke. I had wanted an x50, but all
dell sells it the 51, which I had read has a lot of troubles. I had also heard that for dell, the x51v is the end of the line
for dell pda's. I hope this isn't true. thanks.
