I am having the same problem, and I have the following soft installed (from your list):
Microsoft DST patch
TCPMP

A lot of other programs installed, but they don't match your list.

Thanks Galina.

Does anyone else having this problem have any of the software I listed in the post above?

I may have found a solution after doing some tinkering suggested in another thread. There has been discussion recently about which programs can be eliminated from Startup folder. Refer to the link below.

I never use Odyssey Client, and I took steps to at least eliminate its autostart. Ever since I have removed the odClientCeAutoLaunchSmart.exe program from my \windows\startup folder I have noticed that my PDA does not randomly perform a WiFi autosearch after soft reboot. I have done about 6 soft resets now without any recurrence.

I'm thinking that the Odyssey startup may have partially enabled the WiFi driver, at least enough to show the searching icon on the titlebar.

Well, glad yours seems to be working, but I removed all unnecessary items from the startup folder (including the Odyssey Client you mentioned) over a year ago and this "flight mode" (what it actually is since the green wireless LED doesn't light up) still happens almost daily on my device after I do a backup using Sprite Backup, which does a couple of soft resets in the process.
