Hard reset w/o 'Contacts' button?

Hey all,

I dropped my Axim the other day on marble floor. Amazingly, almost nothing is wrong with it, except the buttons are messed up (small price to pay, considering the screen's perfectly fine). I opened it up, looks like the small 8-pin chip on the bottom left snapped off and is hanging on by a thread, which is why some buttons still work.

Strangely, they SHIFTED. Calendar works as before, Contacts has been replaced by Mail, Mail by Home, and Home doesn't work. D-Pad doesn't work either.

So the question is, how do I hard-reset, considering I need the Contacts button to do it?

(I'm just not having luck with Axims. Had my last x50v stolen, and now dropped my x51v.. :P)

I think removing the battery for an hour should force a hard reset.

The hard reset is performed BEFORE any buttons are assigned, i.e. BEFORE the OS is booted. Reassigning won't help. Maybe there's some kind of a software solution?

A few apps could do hard reset, e.g. SKTools. I haven't tried that though.
