Worried How To Copy and Paste, etc.?

Just received and fired up my new X51V; it's a little beauty compared to my last, a very old Palm.

1. But how do you go about cutting and pasting? I could really have used it when I went to set up wireless with it's 26 character WEP key... Please don't tell me that it can't cut and paste :-(

2. And, is there any problem with using MS Office Outlook 2003 (or maybe even MS Office 2007 Outlook) instead of the (provided) Outlook 2002? And ActiveSync 4.1; can it be replaced with the latest (ActiveSync 4.2 or even ActiveSync beta 4.5?

Aximsite is a really great resource!

1. hold down your stylus until a menu comes up, then choose copy. then go to where you want to paste, hold down the stylus and when the menu pops up click paste.

2. you can use 2003 and as 4.1 or I think 4.2. I don't know about 2007.

Worried Cut & Paste, etc.

Steve-O,

Thanks, but I forgot to ask first: how do I select text?

Then after selecting text, I presume that I can use your advice to copy & paste it:-)

To select text just tap and drag the stylus over it. You have to be somewhat quick on the drag else you'll get the context menu instead. Ctrl-c and ctrl-v also work from the pop-up keyboard.
BTW, welcome to aximsite!

You can also use ctrl-x (cut), ctrl-v (paste), ctrl-c (copy) on your soft keyboard. Use your stylus like a pc mouse to select text.

You can sync with outlook 2003 and older.

I believe, you can't use pc outlook 2007 with ppc outlook on wm5. The next windows mobile os coming out soon will sync with outlook 2007. But, even if that's the case, maybe someone will create a patch for us wm5 users to sync with outlook 2007 when it becomes more popular.

Cut & paste works except for entering WEP or WPA keys.

That's not allowed due to security issues.
