I have a X51v with the A12 ROM and a phantom CF card.
I've seen the issues about the disappearing CF/SD card but I think this is different.

I do a hard reset on the device with only my SD card in it. I reloaded all my stuff. I put some of it on the SD card and some on the internal storage. As I was installing my stuff I kept an eye on the card situation. I only saw the SD card. No problem.

I went into the storage options within messaging to tell it to store attachments on the storage card. Next thing i know i see a CF card with a folder with my attachments in it. I know it the attachments because if i delete the folder and then open an email with an attachment I get an error saying "Unable to display the attachment".

I've done the hard reset and reload process two or three times just to make sure i wasn't doing something wrong. I also put the SD card in my PC and did a format on it just in case that might make a difference.

At no time did i put a CF card in the thing.

Everything works just fine but it's really wierd for a CF card just to show up.

I do have a CF based GPS card but it works just fine.

Any ideas?
