Mad X50v won't reboot!

OK try this one out. A while ago I had an app hang up on me so I tried a soft reboot which appeared to be going normally up to a certain point in the process and then just hung there. I tried a hard reboot with the same results. It hangs in the same spot every time! I've tried with and without the memory cards installed. I am at a loss as to what to do with this thing short of tossing it out a window. Any thoughts, ideas or sympathy?

First of all, Welcome to Aximsite!

You can try taking the battery out for a while and then resetting. You might want to give some more details. Which OS is it running? Where does it hang exactly? What app crashed when it hung?

I took the battery out and let it sit for 2 days. Same issue. I got so frustrated I'm not sure what app was up when it crashed. It may have been Agenda Fusion. I upgraded to WM5 when it was first offered by Dell. The best description I can give for where it hangs is that it happens when the progress bar has about a 1/2" left before finishing. Thanks for asking, any ideas? :headscrat

When you hard reset, do you get the screen that says push contacts to continue or mail to cancel?
You might try a reset with it connected to AC power. If you can't hard reset at all you could try this thread:

Yesterday, I had a none responsive hard reset with the contacts and mail button options and then pulled the battery and the unit came right back up.

I have just upgraded my x50v to WM5 and A02

Same

I got those and continued with the same results. Tried the tutorial you recommended but could not find the image files suggested. How am I to get an SD image without a way to get the image on the card?

Tried that ...did not work

I'm still running WM5 A01, wanted to upgrade to A02 but my X50v bricked before I could. Still looking for a solution.
