My problem is with WMP11 ... when I want to sync my song with my axim, wmp only see my main memory. I can't sync with my 8gb microdrive or with my 4gb sd card... Of course, my main memory is almost full, so I can't sync avy song. But When I browse my axim in the explorer , I see my SD and CF card ... but not in WMP11.
I have the same problem here, the SD card isn't showing in WMP. Did you find a fix for this?

First - thank you everyone - for the windows mobile center - mine kept doing the "music" only thing. How did you find out about the WMC ? Wouold have been nice to know that. (good think I knew about Aximsite !!)
Second, after download of WMC, started to sync with Outlook 2007. But now I have hundreds of duplicates "per day" Does anyone know how to get rid of these duplicates?
Try this... 1] disconnect sync cable from usb. 2] uninstall mobile center 3] reboot and cleanup any remaining programs that where associated with the original install.4] Do a softreset of the Axim 5]reboot wait for the full desktop then plug in the sync cable. Vista should recognize now and install the mobile center again with updates.
This happened on my second install of Vista. The above steps is what I took to correct.
i am having the same problems...i have 2 support calls in progress with dell and microsoft. they have no idea...i don't understand how some can have no issues, and i can't get it to work.
I hope that all of you that have sync problems in Vista have open ports in your firewall as instructed my MS in the Mobile Center help.
Quote:
Open the following ports for all programs in the PC firewall: 990 open inbound TCP port, 999 open inbound TCP port, 5678 open inbound TCP port, 5679 open outbound UDP port, 5721: open inbound TCP port, 26675: open inbound TCP port
I cant get my Axim X51V to sync with Outlook 2007 either. I have uninstalled and re-installed the latest WMDC and can get it to recognize and "mount" my axim but I get a error when syncing. I have only selected "Contacts" to sync with to start but it gives an error message that "ActiveSync encountered an error on the desktop" within Sync Center. Is there some way I need to allow Outlook to permit the sharing of it's data? If I select to sync with email, and then go to select certain folders, I get no response from ckicking the link for that. I have enabled ActiveSync in the Vista Firewall and even tried disabling the firewall. I called Dell and they were of no help whatsoever and said to call Microsoft... They did say they were "working on the problem" and did admit there are issues with Vista and or Office 2007.
For those of you here who have been able to sync their X51V with Vista and Outlook 2007, please chime in!:rolling:
There does seem to be an issue with Windows One Care. Turn that off and try again. Presumably, if One Care creates an issue, then other anti-malware, anti-spyware, anti-virus products might as well.
Another solution is to ensure the USB to PC application (in Settings Connection) is ticked for enable advanced network functionality. Why does this make a difference? No idea, but mine is ticked and mine works OK!

That's what I ended up doing but I'm still not happy with this... never thought I'd say this, but I miss ActiveStynk
