I just upgraded mu OS to Vista Premium.
Vista has a "Sync Center" which is replacing Activesync.
The OS recognizes my X51v but will only allow synching Media.
Can anybody help ?
I can't find a solution.
P.S. Activesync cannot be installed on Vista.

I just installed Vista Business MSDN version on my work/test system Friday, but hadn't done any hardcore sync testing, but if I remember correctly mine only asked to sync media as well--BUT I believe this was before I installed Outlook 2003 and I didn't plug my Axim back in. Microsoft has a step-by-step guide for this here called Windows Vista Mobile Device Center Step by Step Guide.

I keep getting sync errors saying that calendar items won't sync. I also get multiple blank appointments in my Outlook calendar on the day I try to sync. I do have Outlook 2007 installed.

I have a very good question for you. I installed vista ultimate edition 3 days ago and almost everything work very well with my X51v. The sync with Outlook was ok.
My problem is with WMP11 ... when I want to sync my song with my axim, wmp only see my main memory. I can't sync with my 8gb microdrive or with my 4gb sd card... Of course, my main memory is almost full, so I can't sync avy song. But When I browse my axim in the explorer , I see my SD and CF card ... but not in WMP11.
Can someone can help me because I really like Vista
Plug the device in.
Wait for it to be recognised as a mobile device.
Go to Windows Update on the Microsoft.com site, and it will offer to down-load the latest version of WMDC.
It then syncs very smoothly.
Turned off MS One Care and it was then detected as a PDA, rather than a simple storage device type thing. Once it was detected as a PDA, it allowed full Sync. :/
I have Vista Ultmaite and office 2007 and Mobile Media Center installed and when I plug in my X51v the screen flachs and a message (I have never seen befor comes up) saying "Connected to USB Status: Connecting to Host" and it don't go a way. The computer found my PDA and even downloaded New drivers and even says it's pluged in but in the Mobile Media Center it says Nothing connected?
I've got my x51v working very well with vista business and outlook 2007.
Download and install the mobile device center and use it to set up the sync.
At first i had a few double entries but now its all perfect.
