Just recently my Axim has refused to recognise cab files, that is the extension .cab is not associated with an application. How do I go about fixing this. I have tried to find and exe program that will install cabs but to no avial

the last time I worked with a upgrade to my X51V it was with a cab file. The instructions were to copy the cab file onto my unit and then install it from within my unit. All other upgrades I have installed were in the form of exe files. Hope that helps.

one way to solve this is use Sktool.
Using the File Types tool and set .cab with the following settings:
wceload.exe "%1" /nodelete

Maybe download the trial and try it out?

Thanks for the assistance but it seems that I do not have 'wceload.exe' on my machine!!

Interesting. I installed a cab installer and wceload.exe has suddenly reappeared!!
