As an estimator every now and then, when I am away from my office, I need to make a quick calculation using my axim. PROBLEM: Every time I open the calulator program all I see is the "results box" at the top of the screen but no numbers. Each time I open it I have to blindly touch the screen where the buttoms should be. once I have touched them all they stay and I can use the calculator but as soon as I shut it down and open it again its the same thing! Any tips

I didn't like a few things about the built in calculator, and I need a hex converter and hex calculator often at work, so I use Eval.
It is a very good calculator and very adjustable:

Calc98 is also an excellent (free) replacement for the built in calculator

Did you try soft resetting your Axim? Other than that I haven't a clue other than downloading and installing Eval or Cal98, I use MyCalculator which is free.
