X51v takes forever to open Tasks - Is it the unit or WM5? Either way - What to do?

I'm just about fed up with Dell. I'm on my 3rd X51v because in each and every case, when I initially synch Tasks, the new unit practically locks up when I tap on Tasks. The other apps - Calendar, Email - open in a normal amount of time. But, the Tasks take 30-40 sec. And, after I open them, everything else seems to be slowed down as well. That's unacceptable!

I tried doing a hard reset and then synching everything except Tasks, and the unit works normally. But, when I add the Tasks, same delay ensues. And, I'm not talking about 1,000's of Tasks - it's about 150.

I also bot a 1GB SC card and installed that thinking that memory was my problem. However, nowhere do I see where the card is helping with overall memory. Where should I look to see the increased amount of RAM? I thought with that increase, maybe the Tasks could open up and operate normally.

Help!!!

I think you mean SD card.
if you do then it isn't going to affect the performance with regard to RAM
A 1gb SD card gives you 1gb of extra storage space.

If you meant an SC card, then Ignore me because I have never head of them.

Thanks for the two replies.

To the 1st, I'm running ROM A12 (06200600). To the 2nd, I apologize - I did mean SD. And, thanks for the explanation between performance and storage.

I seem to have the right ROM version, running ActiveSync 4.2.0 - I can't seem to catch a break with this X51v. I thought I was doing myself a favor by upgrading from my X30 running WM 2003 SE. NOT!!!
