i have deleted the ebook but there remains a 'ghost' file with the windows logo that i cannot delete. when i try to delete it, i get an error message stating i need to open with an application. but mobi pocket doesn't recognize it. on my dell x51 pda the file says "unknown tyoe(.mbp)" what do i need to do?

You can try a soft reset or try renaming the file first. Also, a cleaner utility such as SKTools or MemMaid might help you get rid of it.

Try deleting the folder that contains it.

Try using Total Commander or a third-party file explorer to delete it - and make sure MobiReader is NOT running.

Try www.mobipocket.com

I've deleted via the PC using explore. I believe mbp is the bookmark/annotation/last page read file.

Doesn't show up on PC? I really don't know - do you have PC set up to show hidden files?
