I've had to perform more soft reset's on my Axim 51V. When the unit is on my belt clip and I go to turn it on, no screen, until I perform a soft reset. The frequency of this seems to be more often. Not sure why, any ideas out there?. I've had the unit about a year. For a long time I just used the unit to browse the net etc., but recently I've been using outlook, and Active sync 4.5.0.

I've performed a few hard resets, but the no power up still occurs.

I've called Dell on this they just walked me throug a hard reset.

do the upgrade mate, it will work wonders on your axim.
go to the dell site, i did my upgrade from A11 to A12 and it is great.

dont forget to backup your device.

I looked for the A12 update but the only thing on Dell's site is this:

Axim X51/X51v, v.112306, A00

dated 12/6/2006
