Problems with 4Gb Hama SD Card

Hello,

I've just bought today a 4Gb hama SD card, but it looks like it is not recognized by my:
Dell Axim x51v
624 MHz
ROM: A12

Does somebody experienced such a problem? I've read some old posts of incompatibility with hama SD cards.

Was looking at the card on the net and looks and sounds like it should function like any other SD card.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I have the same card and either my son accidentally deleted all of the pictures or they just dissapeared. There are programs that can retrieve deleted pictures but my computer won't read the card at all. Please help if you can.

I don't think data just disappears on its own. It's very probable that your son deleted/overwrote over it. If your computer cannot read the card, then it either be a problem with the card reader or the SD itself.

That's what I was thinking too but there are pictures on there that were taken after the whole deleting incident and the camera reads those just fine. I am going to get a Card reader to hook up to the computer and see if it reads it from there. I don't know what else to do.

If you are using your Axim as a card reader (And you have WM5), you have to install the SDHC driver to be able to read the card.

That is assuming it's an SDHC and not an SD.
