for most companies, refurbished means set back to Brand New factory settings and standards with all the same Brand New warranty in effect. I wish you luck with your new unit, it sounded like it came fast.

The refurbs are standard practice with Dell once you are beyond 21 days of receiving the unit. I had a problem 4 weeks into my first one, and was told I would get a refurb. To be honest the only way I would have known it was a refurb was that it had a sticker behind the battery saying so, it looked pristine and worked just as well as any brand new device, it is now dealing happily with my other halves PDA needs now (I got a newer one :) )

No but the last time I called DELL they said if I had any more problems with my Axim they would send me a band new one.
