Every once in awhile when I try to turn my Axim on nothing happens and I have to soft boot it through the button on the back any ideas why this has started? I had to do a hard reboot not too long ago and reinstall all my programs could that be an issue? Also when I do a hard reset do I have to update my rom

I have the same problem every once & a while. There is probably nothing wrong with your Axim. Its just one of those things. The same as your computer locking up.

What rom version are you using?
The most recent one is A12, if you have lower than that you might want to consider updating it.

Would that change when I did the hard reset and where do I go to get the upgrade?

Hard reset takes you back to "out of the box".
Go Start/settings/system/system information
and see what it says there as ROM Version.

It's up to you. Some people have had problems doing the update.
There are many thread on this site that discuss it.

You only need to update if your Ax is unstable or it's causing you problems.
Do so at your own risk.
