Hi, I have a problem with my Axim X51v... I tried to boot it after a full recharge, and it stuck on the "Owner information" Screen... I double-checked the lock button on the border of the pda, and i even tried with both positions... If i touch the screen nothing move, and the others buttons have no effects... After trying to remove the battery, reseting the unit,... I finaly tried to restore factory defaults, but when I press reset while pushing the power button, it display "press the contacts button to reset..." but if i press on it, the button doesn't seem to work! I can't even turn off the pda when I press the power button...

Is this a known problem? Nothing appened, it just stoped working mysteriously.

If your axim is still in guarantee, I think this is the moment to call Dell assistence. By the way it could be a problem related with little flat connectors inside the pda: they could have been disconnected.

Make sure that you have not inadvertently applied the lock switch (side of the Axim)

Mine froze last night, I tried 2 soft resets and nothing. Then I thought, Oh this happened when I changed SD cards. So I took out both the SD and the CF and soft reset, and Bingo working again.

no luck, my warranty expired on 2007-01-02!

Is there any options remaining? Is there any unofficial service manual to open this unit to try to fix it myself, if it's only a ribbon cable disconnected?

And btw, i never used any cards on this unit.. and i tried the lock button in both positions just to be sure!

Good call, I was going through the same situation and wouldn't you know it, the switch was set to lock
