Outlook only partially synchronized?!?

Hi all,

I got my Axim in the mail yesterday, charged it up, installed ActiveSync and attempted to Sync everything up. However, it seems that Outlook only partially downloaded my calendar?!? It seems like it didn't download any of my recurring appointmens (like my classes...I am a student!). Does anyone know why this is?? How to fix it??

Thanks!

Edit: it looks like the repeating events where the START DATE is prior to today are the ones that did not sync...still....if anyone knows how to fix...

Check your calendar settings and make sure that you have set the calendar to sync all appointments. By default it only synchs the last 2 weeks.

Thanks!

Forgive me for asking, but I tried the calendar menu, and didn't see it. Can you give me a hint as to where in the menu or which menu? Is it in the activesync menu?

In ActiveSync, click on Options. In the Sync Options tab, highlight Calendar, then choose Settings. You can make your choices there and click OK. The next sync should do it.

Another shortcut to Dutone1's directions: right-click on Calendar in the "Details" panel, then select Settings.

SImilar Problem

I have an Axim x51v and I am having a similar issue. I am running Windows XP SP2 with Outlook 2003 SP2. Everything has been syncing correctly and then either the Daylight saving time patch or when I downloaded the Windows Live Outlook update the system will now not synchronize any of my recurring appointments or anything that is accepted from another organizer. If I place a new meeting into my calendar it works fine. I have the calendar set to sync all items but there is no change.

Any ideas?

Thanks
SHawn

Similiar things like jsthomp are happening on my Ax and I don't know what caused it. my Notes are not syncing also. I thought maybe it had something to do with ActiveSync 4.5. I upgrade that with the DST patch.

Does anybody have an idea as to what's happening?

First thing to try is the Repair function under the Help menu in Outlook desktop.

I have had the Notes not syncing problem, and it was when I changed the storage location to SD card and somehow the notes became Word documents. I changed the storage location back to built-in memory and, I think, changed some of the Notes back to the default format, and all worked again.

Thanks pawpals. Unfotunately it did not help the issue.

I am questioning what is causing the issue. I bought a copy of Streets & Trips 2007 and loaded this software and it came with Windows Live features. Then an Outlook update was loaded this week to support the Live features. I think this plug in caused the problem but even after removing this "update" it is still not syncing properly. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
