I have read few of the suggestions from Aximsite how to turn off the Activesync correctly. My x51v keeps coming back once in a while after I disconnected.
Does anyone know a concrete solution, step by step, that will definitely work that will permanently disconnect the Activesync until the next connection?
Will the fake server "trick" work to resolve this: Activesync keeps turning on every 5 minutes to sync info. when PDA is plugged into cradle.
This is really annoying, first of all because the stupid ActiveSync windows keeps popping up while I am trying to do other things, and second because it turns the Axim ON to sync, which means that the Axim is just sitting there, running, for like, hours.

You probably don't need to do the fake trick, you should have rom version A12.
You can adjust the settings for Active sync on your PC so that it doesn't pop up all the time. Look at connection settings.
You can also use a small program called Active sync toggle to turn AS off and on manually.

How do I adjust the settings on my PC? The "Schedule" tab is greyed out... If I can't fix it on the PC, I guess I will look into the ActiveSync toggle program. Oh...there the activesync goes again....! I guess I better just unplug the USB for now...
