Not really sure what's going on here, but my once dead Axim, after a slow recovery is now fully functional save the down button. But, now it seems to be too alive in that it keeps turning itself on and activating the wifi at random times, in my pocket even (and no, it won't go through the wash again).

I know that there are some issues to fix the not wanting to turn on, but what about an Axim that keeps wanting to be on? Maybe it a residual glitch with the switch, or maybe my soldering iron and chemical concoctions did have a Frankenstein effect!!!

Just now, sitting on my desk, it woke up, and connected to my wifi... (yes it would have connected if I turned it on, but still)

Just thought a few of you might appreciate it, and for any of you who may have dunked your pda, there is hope!

Have you made sure that there are no programs running??
I thought there was an issue with ActiveSync where it would try to poll even when switched off.
Check the running programs, and stop all to see if that makes a difference.

Obviously, I could be well off the mark, and I'm sure they'll be plenty of people with other suggestions

Have you tried a hard reset?
Just a suggestion If you ever dunk your Axim again let it sit for at least 72 hours before turning it one.
