AFAIK, there is no way to stop your device from 'seeing' the other networks but as long as you do not connect to them, your Axim will always use an available network that you have connected to (your own, in other words).
If you have tried connecting to these other networks, you can remove them from the list by opening the WLAN, 'Turn on' wireless, then select 'Setting.' This will take you to 'Configure Wireless Networks.' Hold the stylus on any networks you do not want to use and select 'Remove settings' from the pop up.
Here's the kicker, however. You may need to be out of range of the networks before it will allow you to remove them. Also, even after you've removed them, they will continue to show up in this listing whenever you are in range but the device will not connect to them if your own network is available. However, the Axim will pop up a 'Network found' menu if your network is not broadcasting but others are. As long as you just say no when it asks if you want to connect, it will still connect to your network when it it available.
